Event Details
- Date: Tuesday, 24 February 2026
- Time: Doors & Cash Bar open at 1800 hrs | Program begins at 1830 hrs
- Admission: Included with your Symposium Landing Fee.
- Guest Fee: $30 USD (or 5,000 JPY) for guests or those attending only the reception. Please bring exact cash if paying in Yen, as no change will be provided.
Experience Japanese Culture
Immerse yourself in an evening of authentic Japanese culture presented by our wonderful cultural volunteers. You will have the chance to witness and participate in a variety of traditional arts and performances.
Highlights of the evening include:
- Taiko Drumming: Feel the powerful, rhythmic beats of a live Taiko performance.
- Koto Performance: Be enchanted by the beautiful and delicate sounds of the traditional Japanese koto.
- Calligraphy & Origami: Try your hand at the elegant art of Japanese calligraphy (Shodo) and the intricate craft of paper folding (Origami).
Capture the Moment
Don’t miss our interactive photo opportunities! We will have a fun selfie photo-booth available for everyone. Additionally, volunteers will be on hand to help you with the proper wear of a traditional Japanese Kimono (Yukata) for a truly memorable photo.
Please note: All participation in social events, as well as food and beverage purchases, is entirely voluntary. The reception cost covers refreshments and non-officially funded materials used throughout the symposium week.
